an apartment for two

Mumbai, India.

30 sq. m.

a compact apartment reimagined as a shared studio for two. Designed as a place to return to at the end of the day, the original layout was opened up entirely—retaining only the bathroom wall.

two windows were extended outward to create resting ledges for the cats, while a tall window across the room completes the cross ventilation loop. light and air travel freely through the space.

to maintain a sense of openness, all furniture was built-in; reducing visual clutter and offering generous storage. appliances are seamlessly integrated into the kitchen cabinetry, and a raised wooden platform doubles as a bed, keeping the space efficient, soft, and grounded.
