make-a-mask

As we start to normalise living in this pandemic and step out of our houses, it is important to maintain social hygiene and protect ourselves as best as we can.
According to studies, the best option we have are to exercise three personal rules.
social distancing / washing hands regularly / wearing a mask
But that has led to panic buying and unnecessary hoarding of toilet papers, sanitiser and all kinds of surgical and medical masks. We can atleast find a solution for the latter.
Leave the N95 masks for the medical workers! Cloth masks; while not providing as much protection as an N95 mask, in some cases they can be a better choice as surgical masks do not seal entirely around your face. Plus they're reusable after washing, stop creating more waste. make-a-mask!

All you need is some fabric, a needle and a thread. Got a sewing machine, even better. tighter the stitches, better | guess). dig through your wardrobe, find that outht you aren't too fond of. (please cut your own clothes and not those of your spouse/siblings)
-a note on fabrics, while most clothing will work, the denser the cloth the better it filters. look at the cloth against a light, the tighter the weave, better; but also more difficult to breathe through.
