a mobile home

mumbai, india.

17 sq. m.

Designed as a prototype for a deployable, economical, and easy-to-assemble home, this mobile structure was developed to offer dignified shelter with minimal means. Built with a steel exoskeleton and paneled interiors, it requires only basic skills to assemble and can be craned onto a site—or removed—without leaving a trace.

Created for a client through an NGO network, the house replaces an informal hut and introduces a small shopfront, providing both shelter and a livelihood.

A project that rethinks shelter as opportunity—portable, practical, and accessible.

as part of home matters initiative commissioned by thriving home studio.
